Eastern Germany (Berlin, Brandenburg, Saxony-Anhalt) has a continental climate with warm, dry summers and cold winters. July temperatures regularly hit 22–25 °C and rainfall is noticeably lower than in the west. This makes the region one of the most favourable for outdoor cultivation in Germany: long sunshine hours, warm nights from July to September, and comparatively low mould risk. However, occasional summer droughts and sharp autumn temperature drops can affect the end of flowering. Strains that tolerate slightly longer bloom periods perform especially well here.

Grow-Tipps

The east allows outdoor cultivation of strains with 10–11 week flowering times. Pay close attention to irrigation during dry spells in July and August. Mulching early protects roots during heat peaks. Indoor growers benefit from affordable electricity and good climate conditions for year-round growing.
