Always add nutrients in this order: Micro first, then Grow, then Bloom. Mix each part thoroughly before adding the next to prevent nutrient lockout.

How to Calculate Nutrient Mixes for Cannabis
Getting the nutrient mix right is one of the most important aspects of cannabis cultivation. Too much can burn your plants, too little stunts growth. Our nutrient mix calculator takes the guesswork out by providing exact ml amounts for each growth phase.
A standard 3-part nutrient system (Grow, Micro, Bloom) covers all essential macro and micronutrients. The ratio between these three parts shifts as your plant moves through its lifecycle – more Grow during vegetative, more Bloom during flowering.
Your water's base EC (electrical conductivity) matters. Tap water in Germany typically has an EC of 0.2–0.5 mS/cm. This base EC must be subtracted from your target to avoid overfeeding. If your tap water EC is very high, consider using reverse osmosis (RO) water.
Different substrates require different nutrient concentrations. Soil has natural buffering capacity and nutrient reserves, so target EC is lower. Coco and hydro systems have no buffer, requiring more precise nutrient management but allowing for higher concentrations.
Frequently Asked Questions About Nutrient Mixing
Always add Micro first, then Grow, then Bloom.
Adding nutrients in the wrong order can cause chemical reactions that lock out essential elements like calcium and sulfur.
Your tap water already contains dissolved minerals that contribute to EC.
If you don't subtract this base EC, you'll end up overfeeding your plants.
Measure your water's EC before adding any nutrients.
Seedlings are very sensitive.
Target an EC of 0.4–0.5 mS/cm (including base water EC).
Start low and only increase once you see healthy new growth.
Most growers flush for the last 1–2 weeks before harvest using plain pH-adjusted water.
This allows the plant to use up stored nutrients, potentially improving taste and smoothness.
The same 3-part system works for both, but coco requires higher concentrations and more frequent feeding.
Coco also needs extra calcium and magnesium (CalMag) since it naturally binds these nutrients.
Mix fresh solution every 1–3 days.
Nutrient solutions degrade over time, especially in warm conditions.
Always check pH and EC before feeding, as they can drift in stored solutions.
