LED lights have significantly reduced power consumption in home growing. However, a 400-watt LED running 18 hours daily during the vegetative phase still uses about 7.2 kWh per day – at an average German price of €0.34/kWh, that's roughly €73 per month for lighting alone.

Don't forget the auxiliary equipment: exhaust fans, oscillating fans, possibly a dehumidifier or heater. Depending on your setup, these can add 50 to 200 watts. Our calculator accounts for both lighting and accessories so you can track total consumption.
